Through the City is Coming to Darmstadt
What makes a neighborhood feel alive? Its people, their stories, and the connections between them. Through the City is a theatre project that brings these stories to the stage, created with and for the community.
After starting in Estonia and Latvia, the project is now coming to Darmstadt! We’re currently in the research phase, gathering stories and ideas from local residents. Starting in March 2025, workshops will invite people to come together and shape this unique performance, leading to a premiere in September 2025.

äctiveäctive is a non-profit theatre company based in Darmstadt, Germany. We’re creating artistic projects for communities, developing professional theatre productions related to socio-politically relevant topics and training others in the field of applied theatre. We work collaboratively in the UK, Czech Republic, the Baltics, Lebanon and Germany.
